Visit Pu Mat National Park – Cultural exchange and learning about the Thai ethnic group in Xieng village – Trekking into the core area of Pu Mat forest – Camping – Learn about the culture of the Dan Lai ethnic group in Co Phat – Rowing Sub on the Giang River down to Pha Lai Dam

Morning of Day 1: Arrive to Con Cuong.

Afternoon of Day 1: Visit Pu Mat National Park Headquarters and explore the attractions there; move to Xieng village for check-in.

Evening of Day 1: Enjoy traditional Thai cuisine and cultural exchange with the local community in the village.

Morning of Day 2: Have breakfast at the homestay, travel to Pha Lai Dam, trek 14km to Co Phat to experience the challenging route of climbing hills, crossing streams, and immerse in the pristine nature of Pu Mat forest.

Afternoon of Day 2: Arrive at Co Phat, set up camp, and prepare dinner at the sandy beach along the Giang River.

Evening of Day 2: Have dinner, gather around the campfire, and engage in cultural performances with the hamlet residents, local forest rangers, and border guards stationed in the area.

Morning of Day 3: Have breakfast at the campsite, visit the Dan Lai ethnic hamlet to learn about their culture, then experience the thrill of paddling Sub on the Giang River down to Pha Lai  .

Afternoon of Day 3: Have lunch on the way back.

Evening of Day 3: Return to Pha Lai Dam,  concluding the tour program.

Note:

Recommended items to bring: Long clothes (preferably quick-drying), trekking sandals, waterproof bag, hat, drinking water, insect repellent, medical supplies, flashlight, camera (optional), camping gear such as knife, lighter, utensils (can be arranged at the village or contacted with Pha Lai Ecotourism Area for advance booking).

Guests can bring their own or rent a sub boat.

If possible, it is recommended to prepare some small gifts like cakes or candies to distribute to the local children in the core area or contribute a small amount to the local community fund as a gesture of goodwill.
