Cruise on Giang River – Visit the Dan Lai ethnic community (Co Phat hamlet) in the core area of the National Park
From Pha Lai Dam, you will board a motorboat for approximately 2 hours to reach Co Phat hamlet. Along the way, besides experiencing the pristine nature and observing the charming bird species along the Giang River, you also have the opportunity to witness the “Cu Dien” – small hydroelectric works that the local people use to generate electricity for lighting and daily activities. You can observe the skillful hand fishing techniques of the Dan Lai ethnic group as well. When you arrive at Co Phat hamlet, you whill have the chance to enjoy the local foods, which reflects the cultural identity of the Thai, Dan Lai ethnic groups such as grilled river fish and Moc dish. You can also indulge in the local rice wine and learn about their unique cultural practices like sitting sleeping customs, postpartum bathing rituals for children, and the burial customs of the ancient and present-day Dan Lai ethnic group.
